Minutes of Active Directory Committee meetings.

DC Status: Still Waiting on DNS Student GPO problem: still no solution found.

Local generic accounts can still be used to apply GPO to lab machines, but actual student accounts won't work because they are not actually located in the same OU.

Bulk User Import

After much discussion about sidefiles and the actual source of the data, a consensus was reached on the following:

All staff CSO accounts would be placed into OUs based on CSO department name
All students would be placed into Alphabetical OUs based on first initial of last name
Students would also be placed into class and section groups located within the student OU. All sections of each class number would be grouped into a parent class group

Student passwords would be changed by the helpdesk and also through the WAM! page.

Trust relationships between the AD and NT4 domains will be established to assist in the migration to the AD.
